PTSD Acupuncture Outperforms Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

PTSD post traumatic stress disorder can occur after any trauma and manifests differently for each person. Some experience heart palpitations, nightmares, difficulty concentrating and mood changes. PTSD, when untreated can be difficult for family member, co-workers and most especially for the person suffering. PTSD can occur after witnessing a trauma, a violent offense, a car accident or even caring for a child with colic. We most often think of soldiers as suffering from PTSD, and many do, however, every day traumatic events can create PTSD. PTSD can occur after being in an abusive household or marriage. It can be triggered after a traumatic surgery. PTSD can even occur in children who are mistreated by teachers, caregivers or bullied by school mates. Most patients won't be referred by their doctors but you don't need a referral to get help.
Even those who have suffered trauma from many years ago can get tremendous benefit from acupuncture.

A picture is worth a thousand words.  See this image created for the study that proves acupuncture is the best option for treating PTSD.
